As you can tell I love Valentines Day and one of the best parts of the holiday is the boxes of chocolate. Out of those red and pink heart shaped boxes my favorite type of chocolate is the coconut ones. I wanted to make a recipe that was festive for Valentine’s Day, had lots of coconut, and plenty of semisweet chocolate. This recipe can be modified to change the color of the coconut and type of chocolate used. I think it would be quite fabulous with white chocolate and red coconut too. This recipe is very simple and should make 5 large hearts or many smaller ones.
At the end of a hard day of work, tired from staring at a screen for the last eight hours I feel the need to get knuckles deep into something real. Tonight, this meant making some dough and, specifically biscuit dough. Light, citrusy, and able to be consumed at breakfast or dinner these little lemon burst biscuits are as tasty at breakfast as they are at dinner. These little lemon biscuits are tasty.
